Problem Statement

There are limited training and job opportunities for persons with disabilities in the film industry.

Solution

Persons with disabilities would be honed in the craft of filmmaking in this specially-curated training programme where media students from Nanyang Technological University would also guide trainees along.

The programme also includes the production of a short film, centred on disability issues.

Outcomes

The programme provides opportunities to persons with disabilities to be trained in film crew roles via practical skills-based workshops, brainstorming, improvisations and design thinking.

This helps create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in the film industry, an unconventional vocational pathway for persons with disabilities.
